Skye Terriers have a double-layered coat. The top layer is straight and long, while the bottom layer is short, wooly, and thick. Skyes can be found in black, gray, or brown and blond with dark markings on the ears, muzzle, and tail. Unlike most terriers or dogs with long coats, Skyes are relatively easy to groom and don’t shed much. Unless your Skye is a show dog, all they will need is a weekly brushing.
